Protien skimmer question???

I hav a 125 AG in my living room, with my sump/fuge in my basement. From the bottom of my tank to the sump I have 6ft of head. Has anyone set up there skimmer with the drain going to the skimmer and elliminate the pump for the skimmer?

Gravity will work as a feed to your skimmer -- water volume will depend mostly on the diameter of the return from upstairs. I did this in the past.
