Depends on your definition of "notable" I'd guess.

Apparently if you're an author of ammonite books the answer is "no".

Ehhhhh.......I dunno....

Notable?? To the few of us who actually know who he is....I would say so.

But for the "other" 99.9 percent of the world....I'm sure they don't care.

No offense Mr. Sprung.

Anyhow...I've got to go feed the tank....

You've got to pick your battles......I don't think this is one of them.

I've bought and read his books, and heard him speak a few times. I think he is very knowledgable. But, does E Borneman have a wikipedia page? or Fenner? Calfo? Does wikipedia have a limit on how big it can get?

I added a bit to the discussion, but I can't remember my user name so...

Julian and Fenner certainly should given their long history and track record with the hobby. The other two, meh. Whatever.

Eh, gotta disagree about Calfo. He's contributed tons towards captive propagation :P

Name one thing he's accomplished that Fenner, Sprung, Delbeek or Carlson hadn't figured out?

Wow, Neale Monks sounds like a total grandstanding tool in that thread. Almost makes me wish I hadn't bought his book. Reading that thread was like watching some kind of super nerd circle jerk.

Considering the amount of geeky drek that is included in Wikipedia Julian is very much worth keeping being above the curve of most of the 'hobbyist' focused articles.
