Salinity LVL and PPT

so... I know the "recommended" lvl is about 1.020-1.024. Anyone vary from this?

What about your PPT? 30-35?

Just currious as to what everyone does.

I keep my salinity at 26 since I have sps

PPT is parts per thousand and is an unit measure for salinity of seawater.

26ppt = 1.020 specific gravity. That is far low for reef aquariums. You should aim for 30-36ppt (1.023 - 1.027) IMO. Natural seawater is about 34-35ppt.

I keep mine at 35 ppt (1.026 s.g.).

35 ppt or around 1.026 SG is where I keep my salinity. Most reefs around the world have a salinity right around there.
