Does anyone know of the proper dosing or times of treatments for Levamisole?
From what I have read I know that giving the corals an iodone dip for 10 minutes every five days for at least a month should eradicate the AEFWs.
The secondary way is to treat the whole tank with Levamisole. The Levamisloe will likely kill all of the fish so it is not recommended to treat a display with it. I cant find anything stating how many treatments is recommended or if it will kill the eggs.
A month or so ago I found that my Frag tank had AEFWs and knew immediately what they were from talks with local reefers. I have know Idea where they came from because I havent introduced any new frags in a few months. I dipped everything in the frag tank three times and it was working but life got in the way and I missed the forth. By the time I got back to the frag tank the population explosion was back. A week later, I noticed one of my Milles in my 120 was losing color and polyp extention. It also was infested with them.
So, here is where I am at today.
All of my acros and milles from the 120 are in my frag tank with about 40 frags. These corals range in size from 1" frags to full colonies as large as a 6"x9"stag. I dont feel that iodine dipping is really an option for me.
