M metalac Advanced Reefer Rating - 0% 0 0 0 Sep 24, 2007 #2 I do to and I was told that's just fine since my tank is just starting up. Apparently people have algae problems for up to 6 months after first setting up the tank. Best remedies seem to be good skimming, water flow and ro/di water.
