Can I put my jager heaters 250 watt each in my overflow boxes. There would be one on each side. They are 17 in in length. The tank is 180 gal. The heaters are too long for the fuge. thanks for the help.

Well, you could potentially do this. But I don't know how much water would be heated/be going through the heater. Usually, you want to try and put heaters in a spot where water goes through it. :)

I have had mine in there and have no issues. I have kept them in skimmers as well lol. I try to put them in out of the way places so they don't break. I am in the south though so heaters aren't as big of an issue as chillers are lol.

I keep one of my 250w ebos in my overflow with no problems. The other sits in the fuge. They both come on frequently in the winter so I assume it does its job just fine.

Just make absolutely sure there is no chance that the heater is exposed to lots of air bubbles. I've had a lot of heaters crack this way.
