I have two firefish that I always thought hated one another. But in the past month, they're sleeping in the same hole. For the past two weeks, one disappeared and the other looks really beat up (thrashed fins). Finally, today, I see the missing one reappear from the hole they share, but it won't venture out more then its body length.
I'm wondering if the hiding specimen is guarding some eggs. The other firefish (the one that is beaten up but otherwise doing well) still goes back into that hole to sleep.
