I'd like to add some small schooling fish to my tank and kind of like the way threadfin (sometimes called blue streak) cardinal fish look.

I see the Marine Center offers 12 for $99.00. I'm not really looking for 12 fish, but I figure there will be losses. If I order 12 maybe I'll end up with 6 - 8 healthy fish. That would be great. If more live, even better.

Do you think they will be a good addition to my current inhibatants:

Sohal tang
Sailfin tang
Atlantic Blue tang
Rabbitfish
Bluejaw trigger
Harlequin Tusk
False Perc
1 male/2 female lyretail anthias

All your fish seem to be pretty mean. :) Also, have some of those gulped up small things (crustaceans, fish, big pieces of food)?

One other fish to consider, if you've got those questions answered, is the Chrysiptera talboti. I'm planning for a small school of them (6-10) in my 210G! :D

Yes, some of my fish, the Sohal and Tusk, could possibly eat them. But maybe not.

I am not familiar with with Chrysiptera Talboti. Do you have a link to them?

The threadfins haven't had a good track record in long term survival.

Here's a link to WWM: http://www.wetwebmedia.com/c_talboti.htm

But the ones I have and have seen are more pink/peach-bodied. Kind of like this:

Maybe I'll just get some more Anthais'.

The Lyretails I have have been fairly hardy.

Maybe I'll just get another type of anthias, to mix the colors up a bit.

Chromies or the damsels bleedingthought mentioned might work too.

Or maybe all of the above. ;)

Yeah, I'm also going to up my Chromis viridis number. I like the way they act in the tank and I love the color! :D So, I basically would have 2 small 'schools'. ;)

You might want to consider the Rollandi Damsels. I have 6 of them and they are pretty nice, dont get big and other than the typical damsel squabbling among themselves they are pretty mellow. There are 2 types of Rollandi damsels.. get the ones from Vanavatu that have the yellow on the head.

I got them from Jason at Greenwich Aquarium - (Jason Edwards on the board here.)
