i want to redo my plumbing, right now it is hard pvc. i am thinking about using vinyl tubing because it will be easier to adjust but i have heard soft tubing might be a problem for the overflow and dursos. does anyone have experience with soft and flexible tubing for their overflow?

I use the grey flexible tubing for my drain hose from overflow to sump. I've never used hard pvc so I don't know the pros/cons; however I haven't encountered any issued with the flexible. HTH

Soft tubing will make your Durso gurgle????? Could have fooled me. I use flex PVC and it sounds fine. Having said that I like to have the drain hard plumbed.

I've used soft (vinyl) tubing with a Durso setup in the past - no problems.

That said, I'm with Matt - I also prefer hard plumbing for drains.

I use vinyl tubing for overflow and return from Fuge.
both are vertical runs . I had used vinyl for 20 years when I worked in processing( darkroom Hospitals) so I was familar with it and its durabilty and shortcomings.
you can see the overflow in this picture on the left . sorry photo size is big , I am at work and don't have access to Photoshop to resize.
