I have a rock covered with different types of button polyps. Seven of the same type of polyps are turning white. They still have green centers. They seem to be closing then not opening and shrinking. All water parameters are great, temperature great. I'm at a loss. Is it from lack of feeding? It sits mid way in the tank. Any suggestions would be great.

Button polyps really don't need to be fed, so I don't think that's it. They may be turning white because of too much light, but this seems doubtful to me too since it's only effecting a few polyps. Do you see anything nearby that is stinging them? Or perhaps any tiny snails or flatworms that maybe on (or hiding underneath) the polyps? A pest or disease is my guess.
