ok i have read a little bit mostly all the forum post just talk about feeding -

i am wondering approx how many live feeder shrimp would a adult dwarf zebra lion eat per feeding? saying the shrimp are around one inch

are the salt water feeder shrimp ok for one to eat as the main staple of his/her diet?

do they need covered tanks?

how much light is to much? 110 watts over a 55 g tank?

would it be bad to put 20 or so salt feeder shrim in the tank with him and just let him eat for a few weeks or do you think he would just gorge himself to the point of death

how much current

thanks matt

I would feed him till he has a slight bulge in his stomach - this will probably be 1 - 3 shrimp depending on his size. Feed every other day is good.

You could do worse. Try gut loading the shrimp first - let them fill up on some high quality flake or pellet food about 30 minutes before feeding to your lion. Get your lion switched over to frozen food asap - look for Frank Marini's articles on this topic they are helpful.

Any fish can jump - Lions will come to the surface and beg once they get to know you - watch the spines!

For fish only that's plenty in my opinion.

I would monitor how much he eats each feeding and adjust accordingly. I am not a big fan of leaving live feeders in the tank for such a greedy fish

For a 55, put 2 maxijet 1200s , one on each end connected to a wavebox / timer. I'd put one on left side of glass slightly angled with output towards front of tank and one on right with outlet slightly angled towards back. Try and keep even flow with no dead spots. Also keep detritus and waste in suspension if possible so it can be removed by the filter

thanks matt
