Can anyone shed some light on my mystery guest that came with the LR I just purchased? Thanks!!!

it looks like it could be a euphyllia sp. or some majano anemones

You would need a better picture or let it grow out a bit to find out what it is.

Does it have a skeleton the polyp retracts into? Looks a little bit like a pseudocorynactis maybe - first pic could be something like cladocora.

If it's completely soft bodied probably a small anemone of some sort.

In the first picture, it appears there's a skeleton. If so, it's a non-photosynthetic cup coral. (dendrophyllia)

IMO the first pic is not a dendo, but I think your right on the common name of cup coral. Looks like a Phyllangia sp (if your rock came from the ATL) http://www.sms.si.edu/irlfieldguide/Phylla_americ.htm

There others that look like it as well, many are temperate though.
