I got a new calcuim reactor today but cannot figure out how to bleed the air out of it. The pump return is on the top and any air in the system causes the pump to loose prime. The reactor seems to be working fine but I think I am missing something in regards to operation... Here is the reactor

the link is big - hope it comes through.

What are you using as a feed pump?

Let the feed pump run for a while to let the crushed coral get saturated with water, then turn on the reactor circulation pump. You shouldnt have any air in the reactor to cause problems. At that point you can then turn your CO2 on and start fine tuning your bubble count and your drip rate.

i also think it might be a feed pump not working right. there is always some air build up but the feed pump should pump it out.
