AB 10/13 K bulbs M57 may not light it??????

Just ordered the bulbs and Sanjay says they are "Probe" start bulbs, however, they are made for "pulse" ballasts.

Are you replacing your Iwasakis with these? If so, I'm curious why?

AB bulbs fire on M5* ballasts. I'm not sure what ballast it's intended for though, but I have always been able to fire up AB with M5*.

I am. The reason is asthetics only. I would like a bluer bulb. The Iwasakis are a very good bulb, however, they are IMO just plain white(very slight blue, more like a 10K).

I have a hamilton M57 ballast. I hope they fire. I just wish they would list that they may not start on a probe ballast on the web page. I had to find it on Sanjay's page, of coure the day after I ordered them.

Well, Josh from Premium Aquatics agreed they may not fire. So I am going Iwasaki again. The Hamilton and Ushio 14Ks are too weak IMO.
