Maroon's Gold Stripes aren't so golden anymore

Hello,

it almost seems as if they are turning a tan or deep gold tan color. I read on a thread once that this happens as they get older. Is that true? Also about how old is the fish when this happens? She's a fat healthy female. BTW.

Could be the diet you have her on. Do you change up the food you feed her much?

I feed her a mix of krill and pellets. I plan on getting some myisis soon and adding that to her menu. Can her stripes get brighter again?

They do tend to darken with age.
