So here goes!
About a week ago, my "Rose BTA" was on a rock that fell out of place. Seeing this, I immediately placed the rock into a different location which was more secure. Since this time period, the Anemone shrinks down to almost nothing once the lights turn on (that is right, on). Because of this I moved the rock it has attached itself to to another location for the third time. The BTA has no visiual flesh wounds from the movement. It is just that I find it odd that under the lights it shrinks to nothing almost looking dead. However; when the lights are out for the P.M. cycle of the tank, it fills with life and looks better then ever. Any Ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Parameters
-175watt MH bulb replaced with a 2000K on May5 of 2007 (the BTA s located about one foot "directly" below the MH. currently on from 1-9:30 pm.
-50/50k and 100k standard florescent tubes changed June 4th of 2007. Turned on from 12noon through 10pm.
- Ph is 8.1 in the AM "no lights"
- Ph is 8.3 with the lights on
- Alk is 6 to 7 DKH
-Salinity is 1.025 or .027 depending when tested.
Sorry for the long post fellow reefers, this just has me baffled. At first I thought the PH was fluctuating but now I have other thoughts.
Thanks
J.
