Ive got some aiptasia growing on my LR, the good news is I have the Rock out of tank sitting in salt water in Rubbermaids-

Whats a good way to get rid of Aiptasia at this point?

Is there like a vinegar concotion I could use etc?

Thanks!

you could kalk them. mix some kalk to a paste and inject them. You can also inject them with lemon juice.

Ahhh, yes......the neverending battle of man vs. aptasia.

Joe's juice works well.

For the first time ever, I've actually got some peppermint shrimps that are eating them.

Some butterflyfish will also eat them (I've had great success with Raccoon butterflys eating them like crazy, but they're definately not reef safe).

I don't think there's any way to completely eradicate aptasia (at least none that I've found).

Hope that helps,

If the rock is already out of the tank you can burn the aiptasia with a cigarette lighter or a propane torch. That is, IMHO, the best, most sure-fire (haha) way to get rid of them.

Burn 'em.

If they come back - get some peppermint shrimp before the aptasia get to large.

I use 2 things to kill them.

1. I use about 2 units RIDICK injected directly into it with a insulin syringe
2. Another thing I use about 1tsp of very thick salt/water solution injected directly into the base. You have to mix enough water to be able to inject but I still keep it thick.

Each have about a 90% kill rate in my experiences.
