i had a very nice birdsnest frag with bright green polyps that was doing very well. it was mounted to a rock, and i had it placed somewhat high on the rockwork. apparently, either a snail or the algae blenny knocked it off the rock, and it landed touching my acan lord. it wasn't more than a few hours later that i found it. the acan was attached to it like fly paper. when i ripped the birdsnest loose, half of it was a pure white skeleton. the acan stripped it clean, down to the bone 8O
just a warning not to place acans too close to other corals.
and a question- should i cut the still living branch of birdsnest away from the completely dead part, or just leave it alone and see what happens?
