Hi. I am back to the hobby now that summer is almost over. The tank is still looking good but I have noticed my Scott's fairy wrasse has some kind of growth on the inside of the mouth on the bottom half, a small white bump that is sort of translucent. It is still doing well, eating and swimming, but I worry. I haven't paid attention to my tank for a while so I don't know how long he has had this problem. Do you have any idea what this might be?

It could be physical trauma or Lymphosis, which has no known sure cure. It is a viral disease and usually goes away on its own if the fish has a healthy immune system.
