Can't understand directions for Salifert Carbonate, PH &

Hi , I really need help!
I recently purchased 6 salifert test kits and no matter what i do I can't understand the directions on the kits that come with the graduated plastic tip that you put onto the syringe. You use is to put the reagent in drop by drop and then it tell you something about then turning it upside and reading it--well it is empty!!! I am really stumped by this; I checked all the directions on the PDF file on-line here and they are the same as the ones I have. They seem to be missing a step!

You really need to learn how to ask a question with correct grammer.

If you are referring to the 1ml syringe, then you want to put the tip on the syringe, place the syringe into the solution pull on the plunger till the black portion lines up at the 1ml mark, there will be aprox .2ml of air between the liquid and the black portion mentioned before.
Now drop into the test vial till it changes color. Read the value on the syringe where the black portion is. Look at the sheet that came with the kit and find your value and your done......

I thought this was supposed to be a forum where members help each other, not criticize one another. I'm sorry if I did not explain what I was asking in the manner that you wished, but I am only human and had trouble expressing what I was trying to ask. thanks, joyce

I am also having difficulty because the syringe is not as finely calibrated as the chart with the test kit. The syringe is calibrated in tenths, and the chart is calibrated in hundreds, up to .98. I can't see any way to get readings accurately. If the syringe reads .50, how do you know if it is .50, .52, .54, .56, .58, etc.

Thanks to anyone who can provide assistance to someone who is new at this! :!

The numbers on the syringe are .1. Each line is either .01 or .02. I forget, I'm not looking at one right now. If there's five lines between the numbers, it's .02 each line. If there's 10, then it's .01
