Has the economy effected your hobby?

I've actually become more focused on it, and will be upgrading my skimmer and RO/DI unit. This is only because the economy is keeping me away from my more costly interests :x

Nah not to much I combined two 55 Gallon Tanks into a 135 Gallon to reduce Maintenance.And I have reduced Tank Light time on to reduce the Electric Bill a Little.I am sure if you got Laid off that the Answer would be Yes.

I'm sorry to hear that, sfsu (whenever I read your nick, I always think "STFU", sorry). Cali's budget woes will probably only increase, what with more and more business moving out of state (out of country, even). I'm sure you read about Hershey last week.

Eh it happens, don't know if I'd call it "the economy" that's making me lose money, just the fact enough idiotic Californians thought a movie actor can run something as complicated at the state!

Besides I'll have money coming in, and most likely won't be hurting or changing my spending habits terribly much (less vacations maybe ), just instead of my savings going up by a couple thousands every month, it'll only go up by about half that.

Eh, the first actor worked out decent enough. Many say he was one of Cali's best ones and many more even thought he was a great president as well I wouldn't be able to recall his term in Cali, but I remember when he was at the helm in Washington. His wife taught the nation how to say NO!

The economy hasn't effected my buying habits but nationally it has effected the entire trade. Record number of hobbyists got out and LFS's closed last year. This year most likely will top last If the dollar is weak all imports cost an arm and a leg. There is very little now a days that doesn't have an imported part or ingredient thus all levels of manufacturing are effected. Other nations are looking at the US to manufacture salt now 8O We'll be openning up the closed steel mills I bet.....
