FC Heater Problem

I just got a FC titanium heater with the IC control from marine depot,
and the controller reads 5 degrees lower than actual. If left on it
would cook the tank. The website listed on the product sheet is
www.fishcue.com, which does not exist. Anyone else had any problems
with these units?

I never trust the build-in heater controller, even if it is "solid state" type.

The Won units that had a similar digital controller were notorious for having problems.

I prefer to use basic heaters or plain heating elements (no thermostat) on a separate Ranco temp controller.
