I've got a 20 gallon aquarium and one clown fish, firefish, sixline wrasse, and the recently purchased mandarin dragonet which I immediately fell in love with. Tank has been going since october and I have a pod population b/c there are white dots on the walls and Juarez (mandarin) has been picking at stuff on the rocks constantly ever since I got him last friday. He also eats brine shrimp if I turn off the filter and one powerhead and just leave one powerhead going, a bit slow but he gets them, especially if they get stuck on the rocks. My question is: I want to add half of the tigger pods that I recieved in the mail today to the tank, I'm guessing at night so the fish don't see them and with the filter turned off so they don't get sucked up. What is the best way to keep this podulation going? I don't have a refugium or a seperate tank I can put them in. Should I just keep them in a refrigerator and give them air every day or so? Also, I have heard of feeding mandarin fish capelin roe, is this the same as salmon roe, or for that matter any type of roe?
