little white starfish

Those little mutant white starfish are multiplying like crazy in my tank- all of a sudden hundreds on the sand, rocks and glass. I have had before but all of a sudden out of control. I have a 210 tank - purchased 2 harlequin shrimp , anything else to do? are 2 enough if there are so many? thanks

Might be an Asterina sp. of starfish. Check the ID tool on this website I believe they have pictures of them. Harlequin's may eat them but if you are having large numbers suddenly then you have a food source for them somewhere. Find that and control it and their numbers will wane over time.

I have them. They are probably asternia like Goldstein said. Mine multiply very fast and then they crash. It is a cycle in my tank.
