Does anyone know whether a Royal Gramma is compatible with a Macneill's Basslet (aka Blue Assessor)?

I have a 90 gallon tank (with 150 lbs. of LR, as well as an ocellaris clown, a purple firefish, 2 bangii cardinals and a convict blenny). I know basslets are excellent reef-safe fish, but also read how basslets aren't compatible with each other. Since the tank is a decent size, I was wondering if they'd be able to get along...

Thanks...

I had a yellow assessor with a Black Cap (also a Gramma) and they got along okay, but I've also heard they may fight since they occupy the same habitat. I'd proceed with caution. My tank was a 120 gallon, so it's fairly the same situation.

That makes sense. Thanks for the advice.

But man, what is it with basslets? I know all fish can behave differently in different situations, and each fish has his/her own personality, but it seems like the recommendations for basslets are all over the place. I've seen some sources that say you can keep them together if it's a big enough tank and you introduce them at the same time, but other sources that say you can never keep them together.

I guess it's just a lot of trial and error (based on a lot of preliminary research, of course).

Thanks again...
