I really don't want to pay a lot to chill my 28-gallon nano...

Peace,

Ice cubes from the cafeteria... :P

Seriously, best is to get an used one, maybe able to say 20-40% depends on condition, age, etc. But you pay for the hidden cost of older parts, and maybe sooner repair, etc.

I really don't understand why it's running so hot to begin with. It was 85 degrees, so I said "Okay, let's prop up the hood for more ventilation & so the halide is now 8" above the water AND turn off the heater."

Well, guess what? It's now running at 83 degrees. I don't get it.

Peace,

Chip

I'd get an iceprobe if I were you. Or spend the cash on a 1/10
