I have a clam that has about a dozen small (pea sized) white or grayish white scrapes or spots on its mantle. They look like scrapes but the clam has been in the same place for a couple of months now and has not been 'scraped' by anything. It's got plenty of light and I give it Phytoplankton on a regular basis. When I brought it home it seemed to have a couple of these and now it has several, so it can't be good. Otherwise, the clam seems fine. Open all the time, no gapping as far as I can tell, seems quite responsive to stimuli. Anyone know what these could be?
