Do a 50% water change fast. Wait and see what happens after that. You may need to do another 50% water change after that.

Its a bit late now but you could have added white vinager I believe to lower the pH.

I wouldn't advise that, because then you run the risk of making the pH bounce all over the place and that'll kill quickquick, like a bunny.

Water change is the best bet.

If its much after the pH spike, but if you realise the issue and add the vinager ASAP it can prevent the spike which if enough of a spike will kill everything by itself. I had this happen to me many years ago when my valve popped off my kalk top off and a ton of kalk went in the tank all at once, the water turned white. 8O

A water change is a good idea either way but not everyone can make a large water change so fast, depending on many things. Of course if it was my tank I would have used the vinager to stabalize the pH and done a large W/C as soon as I had a proper one mixed up.

Hope all works out for the best Ryan, good luck.

Ben, I've seen vinegar used in situations where the pH issue is far less "pressing" than this and it bounced in a very short time killing a LOT of animals. I still don't recommend it because of that bounce.
