I don't know how other people do it, but I can't ever successfully keep more then one male in my tank. I currently have two male C.roseafacia (one much smaller then the other). The smaller one is shrinking in size, and now getting very skinny. I think it's going to die soon 
This is how it always is in my tanks: the biggest male thrives, and all the other males (same or different species) withers away.
