Yeah, I pre-ordered.

Hopefully it won't come back to bite me in the butt though, with a bunch of "Well that feature we had to cut..." type things between the "hype"phase and the "production"-phase.

But I figure compared to a RK2 or ACjr, when you add in probes, the RKE isn't that much more, plus it has a lot of expandability

how big is that thing? Because it doesn't look much bigger than an iPod nano, yet they claim all the stuff it can show on the screen, my eyesight is bad enough without having to squint at a little tiny screen :D

Much larger than an iPod nano... I would say ~3.5in x 4in? Large enough to see everything well, small enough that it wont stick out like a sore thumb if visible.

Groovy, well I'm not so worried about sore-thumbness because my fishroom looks like a bomb went off in it :D

I'll see how it is when it gets here though, 1 month or so...woohoo!

Be sure to update us SFS. I've been debating a controller for a while....we will see if this one would fit my bill.

Well initially I'm going to simply use it to control my lights, monitor pH & Temp via computer to see what funky stuff is going on, and control a few devices based on temp. While yeah I can easily do this with a RK2 or ACjr, who knows what I'll want to do tomorrow, so rather than having to buy a more expensive controller AC3, RKE, and sell my original for a loss, I decided the expandability of the Elite will keep me satisfied

Update... it's coming... soon! (or so says the email that says it shipped) :D

BTW, they do have a manual(s) online if you want to browse through it, digitalaquatics.com support/product documentation.

Will you be doing any dosing with it?

Not initially. I dose manually (cup with line drawn on it) and don't have the equipment (peristaltic pumps), however after I play around with some of the more basic things I might buy some to do it as I feel how easy it works out and lazy it allows me to be :D If I can find a way for it to clean the glass on the tank I'll be set! :)

Oh yeah it arrived :D

Right now I'm using it like a really expensive light timer and ph/Temp monitor. I just want to get a feel for how screwy my day-to-day swings have been before I get it to control things.
