What was your most illogical aquarium purchase?

My problem is that if I set up a reef tank, it would be a monstrosity to look at (CSD, etc.), plus I live on a second floor, so no dice.

OH yeah, I don't have a most illogical aquarium purchase.

Three Medo 1.5 CFM air pumps. They were such a good deal on ebay and I thought that maybe someday I'd setup a little breeding setup. That was almost 5 yrs ago and I still haven't used them!

Seaclone skimmer and Kent Nautaulis skimmer....both decent skimmers and all but i built a counter current skimmer out of PVC for a fraction of the cost and it works better than both combined.

Oh and a iron stand for a 55gal.....makes the tank looks like crap.
