I recently moved everything over into the biocube 29. Yesterday I purchased what the LFS had labeled as a long hair anemone, but looking around at photos online, I o not think thats what I have. Can someone help me ID this thing?

I placed him on top of a flat piece of rock and as soon as the lights went out, he scooted down the side of the rock and burrowed itself into the sandbed. The foot was a pinkish color.

My true perc doesn't seem too interested with it. I was hoping the anemone would host it. Will the true perc eventually come to accept the anemone through instinct, or has living without one until now "ruined" the relationship?

Any input would help!

That is a LTA(Long Tentacle Anemone)M. Dorensis. They bury their foot in the sand, hence the move. Good lighting, moderate water flow, and weekly feedings are what she needs.

Thanks for the help.

I bought a clarkii the other day which is a natural companion to the anemone residing in my tank. Its supposed to be delivered Friday morning.

I'll let you know how things turn out.
