Feeding my reef with freshwater phytoplankton (???)

I'm plenty of FW phyto! then I took some freshwater phytoplankton and I poured it in a soda bottle with salt water and keep it there for a week, for three days the phyto still in suspension in the saltwater and after five days stop floating and started sinking to the bottom then I'm thinking: If I take a bottle of freshwater phyto and I pour it in my tank it will feed my corals and clams for days. Am I right? Any thoughts?

Unless you're target feeding something specific that consumes phyto, personally I wouldn't bother...

Plus, from what I've heard, most people drip phyto, rather than pouring in any significant amount. Unless I'm misunderstanding what you're suggesting...
