My 9 1/2 year old son is besotted with the idea of a tank at his mother's house. While I am certain that I will end up having to run it, I thought that the whole build experience would be informative and interesting for him. I however want HIM to do some reading on the subject and get some value out of this....

Does anyone know of a good, simple book that deals with the basics of marine reeefkeeping- something that would be detailed enough to be informative, but not so highbrow as to lose the attention of an enthusiastic young boy?

I already have a pile of wonderful (but detailed and pretty advanced) reefkeeping books. They are a bit highbrow for a 9yr old. I'm thinking along the lines of 'a dummys guide..." or similar.

Thanks in advance.

Andy

Thanks all!

I have the Bob Fenner book already, and ordered the Paletta one online yesterday when I found it available in stock at a local online retailer- unusual that......

I will document any progress in the build forum when I get around to starting with him, probably some time next year.... (he needs to do some reading before I plow any cash into what may end up just being a whim)

Jeff Kurtz wrote a great nano book. I can't remember the name of it though. It was the first book I really read on the marine hobby and it made a lot of sense to me. Very easy to read. It's written for those who are not well versed in science and such can understand it.
