hi everyone, been a long time, i had a lot of stuff to deal with but i now am getting back to fixing up my tank. all my stuff is fine except i had a nice big micromussa that i notice is dying, it seems to be melting away one polyp at a time. what do you think can cause this? will it stop after the unhealthy ones die or should i frag what i can? half of it is already dead but there is still 30+ more good polyps. it is going to be hard to frag because where the rock is but i will do it if i have to.

is it like a brown jelly, maybe a protazoan infection? IIRC a freshwater dip is ok for LPS but check me on this. You may also want to try TMPCC or another iodine based dip. Fragging it couldnt hurt though.

Good luck.
