i guess i was just looking for an excuse to do this and my last skimmer issue just gave me one.

I have a 24X24X24 cube tank, and that makes the sump area SMALL. I also have an Octopus recirc 150 that needs a new pump.

Here's what's being made and delivered as I type. Hopefully this will help with both issues.

1X Euro-Reef CS6-2+
1X Custom sump tank that is 19x19x15 high. IT's glass and eurobraced for an open top. BTW a guy is making the tank for me for $75!!

Yes, I'm excited.

I have the euro reef setting in my "man cave". I'm expecting the glass sump to be ready sometime this evening or maybe tomorrow.

I'll still have to partition it off, which I'm looking forward too.

Going to use silicon and lexan. I know its not a super strong bond, but I made baffles in my last sump this way and they never showed any sign of breaking free.

I'll have to replumb a little bit on the return to the display, but everything else SHOULD go smooth.

HOPEFULLY, I can have the sump and skimmer ready to run by Friday and have it working by this weekend.

Im totally WOOT about it. Untill now I've resigned to the fact that i'd NEVER have reasonable sump area.. UNTILL I ENTERED THE WORLD OF CUSTOM SIZE tanks haha.

I'll keep updated when there's something to report.

I just added glass baffles to my sump since my new skimmer was putting out alot of micro bubbles in my sump. I just bought picture frame glass from home depot and used there glass cutter to cut it. I was amazed how easy this was. You just roll the little wheel to score the glass and it snaps right on the score. For me is was easier then cutting lexan. if you have a HD close to you might be something to just check out the glass sheets were only 3.50 and the glass cutter was $6.
