When should I worry?

Hey guys/gals:

I have a bit of a dilemma. I had an invert I no longer wanted. Another wanted it, and offered to trade. I accepted the trade. Since the other party didn't have a car, I offered to deliver. I delivered the specimen back in April/07.
I am still waiting for my trade. We have communicated on several occasions. First item I requested I was told it was difficult to get "possibly due to global warming". Second thing I requested was also not available at the moment, so I requested something else. I was told of it's lack of hardiness, that also has not materialized. Now I have sent r/b, pm, email, and no response although I see the person has been on the board.
From what I understand this person is trust worthy. A bit on the wacky side, but trust worthy none the less.

Should I be worried? Was I too trusting? What would be your next step?

Unless we are talking about big $, life is too short to worry. You have better things to do with your time, and mental health.

As a very last resort! I don't want to ruing someone's reputation, and then find out it was an honest oversight.

The invert that you traded, was it the anemone? After 3 months I would leave a negative feedback and say his name in this thread.

I would leave a negative feedback for individuals irresponsible and not to there word (unless extreme emergencies). There is a lot of member here that are just full of poop.

Think that if, someone had left similar feedback before you, you may have been saved this headache. If you discover it was an oversight, the rating can be retracted by contacting [email protected]

Pm, email him/her with a timeline for resolution if they return the invert, negative should still be left as they did not deliver with the agreement. If they do not resolve in a timely matter it should also be left as a negative. At the end if he does resolve a neutral should be left.
The rating system should be used to protect you and others from future dealings with that person. I know you may feel like it is harsh but if you would'nt recommend them to a close friend, why not just do it publicly and protect your future close friends as well.

OK, guys! I am sending the person in question 1 last email, pm, rb with the time frame of tomorrow Friday! After that you will all know the name, and then YOU will ALL come after me. Person is very well liked here.
That is why I trusted this person. I'm really not a fool.lol

I'm thinking the person has been very busy, and easily distracted.

I agree with David on this matter and others. I think 3 months is more than enough time. I would have left negative feedback 2 months ago...

It sounds like a vendor so if he doesn't complete the trade you can start a negative feedback thread in their forum. It's the same as a positive feedback thread. I will be creating one shortly for another vendor.

This reminds of a guy who pick up my 75gallon for frags. I left the tank outside my garage so that he could pick it up while I was at work. Problem is I never heard from him again, but like Mike says life's too short. I never bothered to contact the person because what goes around comes around.
