My wife got me a new camera for my birthday so last night I was playing with the time delay video function. The camera is a Canon sd790 IS. I mounted the camera on a tripod, blasted the coral with a turkey baster to retact the polyps then filmed for about an hour and a half.
I have a gonapora that is golf ball sized at night, and gets really big when the lights come on. I am going to try to time elapse it this weekend.

Hey thats pretty cool. If you left it there for a month it would be cool to see the growth rate.

I was thinking about mounting my old camera on the tripod and taking a single shot every day for a month or so. Im sure there is a program I can use to tie all the pics together.

Yeah, there are a few programs out there to do this..

I had a webcam setup on my frag tank, and set it to take a picture every minute, unfortunately one fine summer afternoon while doing a water change, I tripped and dumped a couple of gallons into the computer the webcam was hooked up to  I'll set it up again soon, see if I have any luck this time :P

That really sucks! I swamped my good camera on my honeymoon a couple of months ago!
