5 days without light

Today will be going on 5 days since my brand new IceCap ballast stopped working. I am still waiting for IceCap to figure out the problem and send it back to me.
I only have 2 small frag corals and no fish in this tank It is a completely new setup. The corals are starting to show signs of neglect. One coral is a colt coral and I forgot the name of the other one (both were said to be very hardy with low light requirements). My question is how much longer can they go like this? Should I transport them to a friends tank until I get my lights back?

At least get a shop light or floresecent fixture to cover it until the lights come back.

You don't know how long icecap is going to take, and 5 days is already well beyond what I'd recommend for unlit corals (2-3 days is the max IME). Get some cheap fluorescent lights on there, or find some way to get sunlight on the tank.
