Just a heads up: I tried Puralator brand filter socks recently with bad results. When I put the sock into my sump, the skimmer stopped foaming completely and my polyps retracted for a few days. Someone in Boston had problems recently with this brand too:

He experienced the opposite I did (excess foaming), so it appears there is at the very least a QC issue with these socks, or perhaps they are easily contaminated because they aren't individually packaged.
Just a heads up. FYI: These socks have the brand label on the inside of the sock, like you see on clothing (you tear it off before use).
