I am a very inactive member of delaware valley reefclub, http://www.delvalreefclub.org/ one day I will get it together and be more active I am just so busy with my hobbys and work and kid....
Unfortunately, both of the local society's are either at the NY Aquarium in Brooklyn or out near Atlantis Aquarium in Riverhead. Either one is a real PITA to get to. If anybody knows of any in western Nassau or eastern Queens please let me know, I am looking to join....or maybe start one.
Hopefully a bunch of societies/clubs will accept our offer to host their forums so their members can make RDO their home. We're offering a lot more than any other bb 8)
The only one I know of close is 2 hours away and I dont know how active they are, the website certainly does not change that much. So no reef club/society for me either.
I have been in the presidency of our local club for the last 4 years or so. So Yes I am very active in the local group. And our local club as a very active local forum http://www.idahoreefs.org, so I'm not sure how to get more of our club members on here.
But anything I can do to help you out on here I will do. A good site with good information is very important. Having good moderators I think is a good key. RC has so many people that it is very hard to find the good info.
