My poor BTA

She used to be a pink tip full of bubbles. But lost almost all of her tip colors due to my recent move. Damn! I don't know what happened. All paramters were normal. After a few 40-50% water changes he finally seems to be recovering. Last night she took some frozen shrimps and expanded in this morning. But without those lovely pinky tips, she is no longer appealing (to my wife). Does anyone know if a BTA can regain the tip colors? Is the pinky stuff zooxanthella or anemone's sting cells?

If it bleached on you and it is starting to open normally again, with some TLC, good water parameters, and time it will be fine.

they bounce back pretty easily if you take proper care of it

It can and will bounce back. Ive had several RBTAs that decided to go and hide only to re emerge totally white. A few weeks later they look fine. Feed it if you can and try to persuade it to stay in the light!

I replaced my old PC light with MH after the move. The BTA seems to be photo-shocked, with some clove polyps. I think what I can do now is to sit back and wait. Fingers crossed.
