Well I finally got my new sump to replace my ehem white trash kiddie pool. I found an 85 gallon horse water trough. It had a copper drainage fitting so I took some pvp cement to cover it up and to insulate it. Im a firm believer in having a larger sump than display tank. I have a sessile worm plague in my system that I actually welcome. Most people dont like them but their filter feeders none the less and reef builders. I had them in my old system and in large numbers they litterally made new pieces of live rock. I placed a 150 watt 10000k MH over the sump to promote any algae to grow in the sump rather than the display.

You are by Jacksonville, right?

Hey Anemone, its a little unseasonably cold right now, but usually by march its hot, nights in the summer here are between 80 and 100 degrees. The humidity and lack of wind holds the heat here. Ive had no problems keeping the tank heated. Yeppers right next to Jacksonville. Orange Park is like Jacksonvilles annoying little brother that your mom made you take places.

Nice. :D

That MH above the water on those 2x4's look's a little scary. The Christmas tree lighting might come a little early this year.
