Securing HQI Bulb

Having trouble with my 250 watt HQI retrofit setup for my 65 gallon display-

I've got the sockets in as tight as I feel I can get it without breaking the bulb sliding it in - but the tiny vibrations from the sump pump seem to wiggle the bulb just enough to make it slide out a hair from the socket. At times it feels like the bulb hasn't even moved at all yet the lights have flicked off. The bulb stays on for 5-10 minutes before blinking out. Are there any tricks to make that bulb stay? How hard should I be jamming it in there?

Those links don't seem to work.

The clasps on my double-ended 250W MH hold the bulb extremely tightly. The bulbs need to be forced almost to the shattering point to dislodge them from the end holders. It's a Geisemann fixture, so I'm not sure if all are that tight.

Your DE bulbs should always snap in tightly with almost enough pressure to break them. They should never slide out under any circumstances. I would turn off all power (read UNPLUG) the lights and make sure the clips are tight together with pliers. Your bulb should "SNAP" in and it should be very clearly in the clips. The makers of these sockets dont want a 1500° bulb just falling out of its socket...
