Anyone here has any idea how much a concrete floor can stand? With a big aquarium of approximate weight of 2Tonnes and an area of 1.32M2, can the concrete floor stand it in general?

The aquarium will be places against a bearing wall and the appartement is on the first floor!!!

Dimensions of the aquarium: 220CmX90CmX60Cm
Dimensions of the sump: 130CmX60CmX50Cm
Tank material: Glass, 20Mm Glass.
Plus other supplies and live rocks!!! Anyone here with an idea or help?

I don't know how to calculate that stuff, but if it's a good thick pad of concrete, I can't see any problems.

Is Lebanon geologically active, though...? I remember being next to a small 55gal reef tank during one of the California quakes, my husband tried to hold it up and I told him, "What, are you crazy? LET IT GO!" (It never fell over, but sure splashed a lot of water around.)

+1. I would think that if the slab was thick enough, it should be fine. Just one thing to remember. Make sure that the ground is tamperred (packed) well so that the slab does not settle and become an uneaven surface.

Concrete will hold it if it's properly mixed. You shouldn't have a problem on the ground floor.

If I did my conversion right that's about 2.1 PSI, which a 200 pound person wearing size 10 shoes will put... I think you're fine.

This stuff is a headache... I hate when I have to deal with so many stuff at one time. Anyway after a long suffering of approximate 4 months, althought I was promised with 3weeks maximum, the tank will be coming next week. Hopefully, I guess!!! :D Hope the floor stands and the whole building doesn't crash because of ME :S
