Hi Guys, soz if this is the wrong forum but have searched and found now joy, I have recently set up a new bow front aquarium 350l and am using an overflow box to feed a 70 litre sump where i a have my skimmer and heaters etc, but i have noticedin the last couple of days that i have a film of oil or something building up on the surface of the display tank. i have looked around and have found various surface skimmers that work with external canisters but really dont want one of them as that defats the object of the sump. anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks

:welcome:

If you already have an overflow box, it means the surface water isn't being directed evenly in the direction of the box. If it's an external overflow box, reposition it so that most of the surface water will eventually get directed towards the overflow. If it's an internal box, you might need a powerhead (or adjust your return output) to push water towards the overflow.
