Lawnmower Blenny

I would like to get one of these rascals, but every specimen I have seen in the past few years looks emaciated. LFS, out-of-state fish stores...it's all the same, ime. Are the collection techniques used on these guys killing them? Has anyone purchased a lawnmower in the past few years and still have him?

I have bought two and both died.

Both were eating well too.

Strange I thought it was just me. Everyone Ive bought has died within a few days.

I have had a lawnmower in my tank for close to a year (he's about 6" long now) an my mother has also had one for about 6mo's. All that I've seen here in AZ. All look good?

I had one but he only ate algae off the glass. I'd always see the lip marks on the glass. He lived for almost a year on that.

My starry blenny is much better since he eats prepared food as well and IMO is cooler looking than the LMB.
