Thanks guys, wish I could grow it out longer but it will still fill in nice in the new tank and I can't afford to keep running multiple tanks. My car broke down so I had to buy a new one and have a car payment again lol.
Is the move the upgrade? Your corals won't know what's hit them once they have that fancy T5 fixture over them (can't for the life of me remember the name).
Yeah this will be the switch over to the bigger tank. The new T5 fixture is a sfiligoi
BTW how is your Kole tang?
He was hiding for the picture the one spot healed up but he has two really bad ones now. I was out of town for a week and my mother only fed the tank every other day which isnt what they are used to. My wrasse jumped when I was away too and I swept him out from under a cabinet last night.
Why are you gonna do sand in the new tank?
Its going to be a thin bed maybe just 1"-1.5" of special seafloor grade sand for asthetics, I plan to vacuum in every water change. This way I can keep it nice and white and don't have to worry about detritus accumulating.
Can you list the specs of your set-up?
Tank is a 58 oceanic, refugium is a 15 gal tall, frag tank is a 20 long, and sump hold 30 gal when operating normally. I use a Bubbleking mini 200, run a P04 reactor, and a GAC reactor. I use the two main peices of pordibio also which I have had good success with. The tanks return is a eheim 1262 and the in tank circulation is 2
vortechs wmp40's running full speed on opposite pulsing. I use a LM3 with a top off module for top off of RO/DI and two additional pumps attached for automated 2 part I get from bulk reef supply. The tank also has a single 1/10hp chiller, which runs much less since I switched to T5's. The lighting is a 36" 8 bulb tek light with 4
ATI blue plus, 2 KZ coral bulbs and 2 kz figi purples.
