You get upset when no one responds in 20 minutes. Please demonstrate a little more patience. People will respond and help ... you need to give them time and ask nicely.

To answer your questions.
1. How much light you need depends on what you're aiming for. I would say your current lighting is a little lacking. A metal halide only works well for about 24 inches, so you should ideally have 3x250W, not 2x250W.
2. Your return pump sounds fine.
3. The Deltec AP702 is a fine skimmer. The 851 would be better for a tank your size.
4. Sand thickness is subjective. Some people like no sand, and some people like 6" of sand. There is no one right way.
5. Dry sand is fine, but live sand will give you more biodiversity. I would use mostly dry sand and buy a little live sand to seed it. Or you can just count on your live rock.

Here's an idea.... try it.

Might or might not work. You already have the fixture might as well give it a shot. You asked for recommendations you were given one.

"Corals" is not specific, some corals will thrive with what you have planned some might not. What species are you planning on keeping?

The xenia filter is a good idea and might save you money in the long run by using frags for trade or credit at the local fish store.

PD. There's a time difference from where you're posting to where most of us are posting from, so keep that in mind too. People here do sleep....

I don't think you realize your impatience and bad attitude turns people off. I certainly am not interested in continuing our discussion if you can't wait an 30 minutes for a response before getting annoyed.

I agree with Len - there are plenty of seasoned reefers here that would be more than willing to help. If fact, I think the quality of your responses here on RDO would be better than many other sites which seem to have an over-abundance of 'psuedo experienced' reefers that like to talk more than they like to read. Let's all be patient.

What kind of corals do you intend to keep? Do you have a list of your favorites? Your lighting would be plenty for some species but could be lacking for others. Knowing your intended stocking list really lays the groundwork for quality advice. It will save you time and trouble down the road as well as a lot of money when things thrive rather than die.

I can only think of one person here who might be able to speak and read Hebrew. Also, it seems we'd have to register and become members to see what you're talking about, again, a bit of a problem for those of us who only use the Roman/Latin alphabet.

I think you might be correct with your last statements if you do not learn patience. Because, in keeping miniature reef, if you are not patient, you will fail. Or rather, the organisms will fail, you'll still be alive.

Perhaps we should buddy newron up with vitz, eh?
