Has anyone researched induction lighting?

It is like a MEGA CFL. They even have medium based bulbs that can be used. At 12 hours per day the lamp can last up to 22 years! At 60,000 hours it is only lost 30% of it original power. They can last up to 100,000 hours. That's 10 years running 24/7. A 200 watter is comparable to a 400 watt halide.

The highest Kelvin rating so far is 6500K, but with some coaxing from the aquarium industry a 14 to 20 K bulb could be made.

Have you see the size of those things? they're absolutely huge!

That said I really need to bite my tongue when I hear claims "X watts is as good as Y watts of other bulb" especially if the website sourced is "unductionlighting.com" :D

There are other sites that make the same claim that are just electrical engineer sites and the like. They have no ties to sales so their opinion carries some weight. I am not tooting their horn, but was wondering if anyone uses them. The Kelvin temp tops out at 6500K, but could be supplemented with stunner strips or T5s. The only thing I would dislike is the lack of glitter lines that are produced by halides or LEDs.
